Character Design - Ninja - Lineart

Lineart Styles
I have been struggling for a while with how I wanted my Ninja to look like as I wanted to capture the essence of movement in her design, but also not to be totally abstract so her features would show up throughout the animation.
I looked into pre-existing animations such as "Thought of you - by Ryan Woodward" I liked the way in which he captured movement and fluidity and hoped I could do this with the expressive inked lines I created.

This is a quick demonstration of how I would have liked the animation to look, I used several of the lineart designs I drew from the image above and merged them to create my final look. All movements, would have been created more with the flowing ink to demonstrate movement and the stills would have been in a cleaner line style.

Dancing Girl - Animation/Life Drawing Finally Completed

I have finally managed to complete this animation, it's 105 frames long, each frame being drawn out by hand one by one. There are 24 frames between each pose. I feel as this animation has lost the flow that the drawing captured, otherwise this was a good experience trying out drawing an animation with 24 frames per second

Running Man Gif Sequence - Animation

Running Man

This was an animation created with a selection of pre existing life drawing images I had drawn, this was similar to the dancing girl but I used less frames giving it a much smoother finish. I also tried to experiment with shapes and negative space.

Dancing Girl - Animation/Life Drawing - WIP

This is a work in progress, I was required to animate 5 of our life drawings we had done in a sequence. I have drawn out the 5 main poses that I had drawn in life drawing and using a stickman I have linked each frame together, this will make drawing her much easier and saves time if I were to do a mistake.

Flour bag - Animation

Flour Bag Animation

Here I had to create a flour bag animation interacting with another object. As a flour bag is an object I decided to add another flour bag into the mix for a little fun :). Sadly this animation was intended to be 30 seconds as I was going to slow down the framerate in photoshop; however, it crashed photoshop due to the file size. Anyways, enjoy:)

Christmas themed 4 Legged Walk Cycle - Animation

Llama Walk Cycle
I was looking at a 4 legged walk cycle, I have found this by far the hardest type of cycle to create so I'm pleased with my result.
Sadly the gradients didn't work for the background but oh well :3
